Come and Sing!

Come and Sing!

Chanctonbury Chorus takes part in the Steyning Festival – and so can you!  On Thursday 28th May at 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm you are invited to come to St Andrew and St Cuthman, Steyning, and join us to have an evening of singing.  You don’t have to be able to read music, although it helps.  The Chorus is preparing for its next concert (see below) but we want to offer you a very warm welcome to come and sing with us four pieces of music which are not in the concert.  We start, therefore, where you start.  Whether you are a confident singer or have never sung in public before you are very welcome.

So, what are we singing?

The Lacrimosa from Mozart’s, Requiem

Leonard Cohen’s, Hallelujah

Howard Goodall’s setting of The Lord is My Shepherd (Psalm 23)

The West Sussex Drinking Song by Hilaire Belloc and Ivor Gurney

Our next concert

So, Come and Sing with us and then come and hear us sing on Saturday 6th June at 7.30 pm in our next concert, Together We Sing.

You will see posters throughout the town and the local area.  There will be an opportunity to buy tickets at our Come and Sing event and in the days leading up to the concert, David O’Dell examines the pieces we are singing in the blog on our website www.chanctonburychorus.org

Tickets for Come and Sing are available from Steyning Festival.  Tickets for our concert are available from us!
